VSEC Test

VSEC Test serves as a sophisticated suite of tools engineered for comprehensive assessments, attack surface discovery, and remote testing. By utilizing a Raspberry Pi as the physical bridge to your Device Under Test (DUT), the platform enables engineers to conduct deep-level evaluations even when physically distant from the hardware.
The setup process for VSEC Test is streamlined through automated image generation, enabling rapid hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) connectivity.
- Tailored Interface Images: When you define a new Bench, VSEC compiles a custom Raspberry Pi image specifically pre-configured with your unique network and environment settings to ensure immediate cloud connectivity.
- Hardware Specifications: This system image requires a microSD card with a minimum of 16GB capacity to ensure reliable operation during active test runs.
- Flash & Deploy: We recommend using the official Raspberry Pi Imager to flash your generated image, the easiest way to get your hardware connected to the VSEC Test platform.
Core Concepts
Benches
A bench is the computer which sits near the DUT and communicates with VSEC over the internet. The Bench is often connected to the DUT via a CAN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi or other interfaces. We offer images to setup a Raspberry Pi as a Bench through VSEC Test.
Test Cases
Test cases are individual audits which can be run through VSEC Test. VSEC Test provides a growing library of pre-built Test Cases, expertly designed for deep security coverage across diverse systems and protocols. Leverage these standardized templates to efficiently perform robust validation and penetration testing, ensuring the resilience of your automotive assets against emerging threats. Additionally, you can create your own Custom Test Cases to fit your testing needs.
Test Plans
A Test Plan is a collection of Test Cases to be executed as a Test Run on a Bench. Each Test Plan allows for granular configuration of the Test Case parameters to enable unique Test Plans for different targets.
Test Run
Test Run is the execute of a test plan against a specific bench at a specic time. They can be queued, in progress, or completed. You can view the results on VSEC and download PDF reports or detailed logs.
