Test

VSEC Test is a suite of tools that can perform functional security assessments, discover attack surface, and assist in penetration testing even when the testers are remote to the device under test. VSEC Test also contains test specs designed for different purposes including providing confidence for UNR155 and other regulatory compliance.

Core Concepts

Bench

A bench is the computer which sits near the device under test and communicates with VSEC over the internet. The bench is often connected to the device under test via a CAN, Ethernet, WiFi or other interface. We offer images to setup a Raspberry Pi as a bench through VSEC.

Test Case

Test cases are individual audits which can be run through VSEC Test. Some are provided for free, many are available for purchase, and you can create your own.

Test Spec

Test specs are collections of test cases and their parameters.

Test Run

Test runs are runs of a test spec against a specific bench at a specic time. They can be queued, in progress, or completed. You can view the results on VSEC and download PDF reports or detailed logs.
