Asset Manager

Overview

The Asset Manager is one of the two core elements of VSEC. It serves as the single source of truth for your organization’s product portfolio.

Defining Products

Users start by laying out their product portfolio. This includes defining products, their subcomponents, and specific features that require protection.

Security Properties

Each asset can store critical cybersecurity properties (e.g., Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability ratings) that inform downstream risk calculations.

Tip

To maximize reuse and reduce redundancy, VSEC allows you to establish links between assets. For example, if two different vehicle lines share the same braking control module feature, you can link them to share analysis and testing results.
