Billing & Subscription

Billing & Subscription

The Billing & Subscription page is where you choose a plan for a new workspace and see the workspaces you own. It is for hosted VSEC subscriptions. Each workspace has its own subscription, which you manage on that workspace’s Manage subscription page.

Getting Started

If you do not own a workspace with a subscription yet, the page shows Choose your plan. Setup has three steps, each opening below the previous one: Plan, Assets and Workspace setup.

Step 1: Choose Your Plan

Each plan card lists what the plan includes across the platform, VSEC Core and VSEC Test.

  • Starter is the free plan you are already on.
  • Click Choose Team to select the Team plan.
  • Click I'm interested on Enterprise to open a contact form for our sales team instead of checkout. Fill it in and click Send to our sales team.

Step 2: Choose Your Asset Count

Under How many assets?, use the stepper to set how many assets you need, up to the maximum for your plan. An asset is one root-level asset in Asset Manager, and each asset includes one test bench. The monthly total updates as you change the count. Click Next.

Step 3: Set Up Your Workspace

  • Enter a workspace name (required).
  • Once you start typing, optional fields appear: logo (PNG or JPEG, at least 400 x 400 px), company name, company type, website URL, the brands you work with, and a description. These help us tailor setup suggestions to your organization, and can be added later.
  • Check the Order summary, then click Proceed to checkout to create your workspace and continue to Stripe for payment.
To add another workspace later, come back to this page and choose a plan under Add another workspace. Each workspace gets its own subscription.

Your Subscriptions

Once you own a subscribed workspace, the page lists them under My subscriptions, with each workspace’s plan, asset count, price and status. Click Manage next to a workspace to open its Manage subscription page.

You can also open it from Workspace settings > Manage subscription while that workspace is active. It is not available on the free workspace.

Managing a Subscription

The Manage subscription page shows the workspace’s plan, its status and the monthly price, with three figures below:

FigureShows
AssetsHow many of your purchased assets are in use, and your plan’s limit. Each asset includes one test bench.
UsersHow many members the workspace has, out of your plan’s user limit.
Renews onThe date the subscription renews. After cancelling, this reads Access until.

The Payment history card beside it lists every payment with its products, date, total amount and status, and a Download link for each invoice.

Adding Assets

Workspace admins can add assets to the subscription.

  1. Click Change plan.
  2. Use the Asset count stepper to set the new number of assets, up to your plan’s limit.
  3. Check the Pricing summary: it shows the prorated amount Due now for the rest of the current billing period, and the New recurring total.
  4. Click the confirm button to pay the prorated amount and apply the change, or Cancel to close the dialog.
The asset count cannot be reduced below what you have already purchased. Contact support to lower it.

Add-ons

If optional add-on products are available for your plan, they appear in the Add-ons card.

  • To add: click Add to plan. The add-on goes into the Pricing summary; click Continue to checkout to buy it. The charge is prorated to your current billing period.
  • To remove: click Remove add-on, then Confirm remove in the warning that appears. Access is revoked at the end of the current billing period; unused time is credited as proration.

Moving to Enterprise

Team is the highest plan you can buy yourself, so Change plan shows “You’re on our highest tier.” To move to Enterprise, click I'm interested on the Enterprise card on the Billing & Subscription page.

Cancelling Your Subscription

Only the person who bought the subscription can cancel it.

  1. Click Cancel subscription. The dialog shows the date your access ends.
  2. Click Confirm cancel, or Keep subscription to close the dialog without cancelling. Cancelling the subscription also cancels every add-on.
The workspace stays available until the end of the current billing period, then it can no longer be accessed. Cancelling cannot be undone, and no refund is issued for the remaining period. Once cancelled, the plan can no longer be changed.
